As every year in November, the next edition of iDempiere Business Suite was announced. The new technologies implemented under the direction of Carlos Antonio Ruiz Gómez in the latest version 6.1 of this Open Source ERP are, at a glance:

– Buckminster swapping on Apache Maven (https://maven.apache.org/)

– adaptation to work on Java version 10 and newer (thanks to the fruitful work of Hiep Lq)

– support for PostgreSQL Server version 10 and 11

At the moment available edition is a development version, in which the emphasis is on the use of new technologies (updated to work with the latest editions of Maven, JVM, UI libraries, Jasper) and ensuring that the platform is also compatible with previous versions.

Stabilization of version 6.1 is planned for a period of 6 months.
